Biography
David Curry was born in 1944 at Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. He was
educated at Ripon Grammar School, Yorkshire; Corpus Christi College, Oxford
(Hons degree in Modern History); and Kennedy School of Government, Harvard
University (he was one of the first ten Kennedy Scholars). He studied
International Relations under Dr Henry Kissinger.

David Curry is Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Community
Governanceis and Vice-chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group on
Homelessness and Housing Need. He is also a Vice-president of the Local
Government Association and a Director of the British Association for Central
and Eastern Europe.
He is married to Dr Anne Helene Roullet who is a sculptor. They have
a son and twin daughters.
His hobbies include vegetable gardening, sailing small dinghies and being
entertained by the children and grandchildren.

David Curry is a columnist for Farming Guardian and the Local Government
Chronicle.
He is chairman of Dairy UK, a trade body which represents farmers, milk
co-operatives, processors and traders in negotiations with Government and the European Commission on issues ranging from competition policy, industry structure, food safety and
labeling, nutrition and environment.
